Chatoor Cinnamon sticks are obtained from the inner bark of the cinnamon tree in Sri Lanka through the traditional process using skills that have been passed down through generations of tradesmen.
Ceylon Cinnamon, unlike its common substitute Cassia, is high in antioxidants and is known to have anti-inflammatory effects thereby lowering the risk of disease. It is known to have antibacterial properties, and is used extensively in Ayurvedic remedies as it eliminates toxins from the blood and improves circulation.
Ceylon Cinnamon is said to lower blood glucose level and is especially good for diabetics. It can also improve some key risk factors for heart disease, including cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure.
Ways in which it can be consumed:
- Boil a stick of our premium Cinnamon in water or tea and add a teaspoon of honey.
- Prepare a warm drink with apple cider, a splash of orange juice and a stick of Cinnamon. Add honey to taste.
- Simply stir your tea or coffee with a stick of our wonderfully aromatic Cinnamon.
