Eucalyptus Honey has an almost living scent, with a characteristic satin finish. The taste is balanced between sweet and savory with notes of cinnamon mixed with undertones of mint.
Eucalyptus belongs to the family of Myrtaceae with about 700 known species. Native to Australia, it was introduced by the British in the year of 1843 in the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu. Locally known as safeda, E. tereticornis is the majorly seen species seen in the subcontinent. The leaves and oil are popular because of their medicinal properties and hence find their way into traditional home remedies as well.
